The Commission on High School Redesign was created in 2004 by the Governor, and appointed by the Board of Elementary and Secondary Education and the Board of Regents, to redesign high schools enabling all Louisiana youth to graduate from high school prepared to succeed. The Commission’s website publishes online reports issued by, or relevant to their work. The website also hosts the reports and presentations from the Louisiana High School Redesign Commission Summit of March 2007 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. These documents pertain to various areas of high school redesign including transcripts or slide shows of invited presentations to the commission, in which some contain descriptions of exemplary programs. The website can serve as a model for other states creating similar commissions for reforming high schools.
